How can I get my S3 apps out of crashing loop?

s3's apps crashing loop

i cant use my phone cause the "unfortunately message" keeps popping up. either nfc service or the process com.android.phone or system UI or some other unrelated thing stops working and therefore i am stuck in this loop of messages and am unable to use my mobile. my phone isnt rooted and it is jellybean 4.1.2

ps. havent backed up my data so it would be cool if wouldnt need to factory reset i.e. lose all my data.

Any and every suggestion is appreciated

Welcome to the forums!

You could try booting into Safe mode http://support.verizonwireless.com/support/devices/knowledge_base.html/59242 to see if that allows you to make a backup of your data.

You could also try using the Kies software on your computer to make a backup - it might work even if those apps keep crashing.

i tried safe mode the crash loop still happens. i tried using kies but my mobile doesnt get detected when i plug it into the laptop. it only charges the battery. anyway that i can get it to be detected with putting on the USB debugging? cause my phone, due to the crash loop, isnt usable and therefore i cant go to the settings or do anything etc.

You could try booting into Recovery mode and clearing the system cache, but I don't hold out much hope for that.

Are you sure you're using a data cable when you connect the phone to your computer? Does Windows give the usual 'boop-beep' sound when you connect the phone?
