How can I get my tap to turn on working?

I have a teeny tiny problem

really just a nuisance. My "tap to turn on" isn't working. I've gone in and found the settings for that function, it says it's turned on. what do you suggest. I've hard rest the phone 1 time, and restarted it a couple times too. Thanks for the help!

just as an update, when the HTC motion launch updated on aug 21st ,it was fixed. So problem solved .
