How can I get these spam pop ups to stop?

Multiple times throughout the day I will get pop ups on my phones stating that I have a virus or my Sim card is going to get damaged. If I click here or download this app it will help fix my phone. I haven't clicked on any of the links. But this keeps happening. It will happen when opening snapchat, facebook, my photos, and even my texts and emails. So its not just a browser thing. How can I get these spam pop ups to stop?
