How can I make the swipe down bar on my Samsung S7 hide?

Since the navigation settings bar at the top of my Samsung 7 is in the same place and is same size of my chat in bingo drive I'm unable to see what I type and I cannot fix my typos before sending. Please help.

Immersive mode will hide the top bar, the bottom bar or both.
