I have just bought a new Android phone (Xiaomi Note 10 Pro). During setup, it asks to register my email account which it says requires Device Policy to do so. It then proceeds to set up a work profile (which I do not need or want). The email account I am using is a business Gmail account (my business) and, although I have other Gmail addresses, I have no choice but to use this particular one as my old phone is backed up to it. Which, incidentally, did not give me the problems I am now facing with my new one.
I find this 'feature' intrusive as it does not have any opt-out option. I have no need/want for more than one profile, especially one that restricts access and use of my own phone!
I conclude that the only solution is to accept the work profile and adapt/edit the device policy to allow me permissions to personalise apps etc. So, how do I access the Device Policy App to manage it?
