How can i open a drop down menu to see its contents without selecting the title?

Let's say that in Google chrome you are visiting a web page that has a drop down menu and the title is selectable. When pressing on the title to open the drop down menu it takes you to another web page. So you cannot see the drop down menu's contents.

Try pressing and holding the title button until the options window pops up (open in new tab, copy link, etc options). Then close that window and the drop down menu should be expanded.
