How can I remove a "double" TV entry in my "Cast to device"?

I'm using Samsung S7. Few months ago, I added two brand new TV's to my phone via my internal house WiFi. All works great.

Few days a technician came in to check on one of my TV's. While diagnosing it, he had to reset the TV back to factory default. Upon competition of his work (the TV was not replaced, just reset), I am now showing TWO of the same TV's when I try to cast from my Samsung S7.

Can someone please help me in how I can either 1) remove that particular "clone" TV or 2) remove both TV's and just re-add

I am using the latest revisions of the YouTube App, but I think it's probably something to do with the Settings of the S7?

Welcome to Android Central! Open your Google Home app, select the TV, tap Menu, then Reboot, and see if that helps.

Thanks! I cleared the cache and all storage within the app, and it is now working just fine. Thanks!

I have multiple duplicate TV cast to names.

I don't have a Google home app or account.

How can I delete these infuriating nonsense entities. ....

The TV identified 10 times does not even exist!

Sadly I do not have on my phone any Google home app...as suggested is required in msg #2

( see my message )

Any further help possible ?

I am unable to cut and paste the list probably due to my own limited skills...but I have the same TV ten times. ..saying LINK

How are you casting to the TV? If you have any Chromecast device, it's worth installing the Google Home app to help manage them. If you install the Google Home app and have made sure all of your casting devices are accounted for, then you can try clearing the Google Home app's cache/data.

As he said, he's not using Google Home - so he can't. But there has to be some app the "Cast" icon runs, and that has nothing I can find that has a cache to clear. Maybe someone's found what app it runs (probably com.android.something or com.google.something).

Right, but you don't have to install the Google Home app in order to cast to a Chromecast -- the Home app is used to manage Chromecast devices. So in case the OP is using Chromecast devices, I thought it might still be worth trying.
