Ever since I updated my phone I can't seem to find a way to get rid off the stupid Samsung music widget. I tried to un install it but to no avail, I also tried to stop the Samsung hub, but nothing gives.....help please!
I have been PLAGUED with this problem of not being able to remove the damn Samsung Hub from my lock screen ever since I updated to Android 4.3. (I have a Galaxy S4 on Verizon.)
1.) The application cannot be uninstalled or removed or affected at all by going to the Application manager. All you can do there is "Force Stop," which of course is just a temporary thing. It can't be removed, there's no setting that can be changed or altered, nothing can be done to set a default differently so that it doesn't launch . . . nothing.
2.) The widget itself cannot be removed from the lock screen. It does not allow you to long-press it and drag it to the garbage can, so that's not an option.
3.) When you go into the Samsung Hub app itself, there is no setting that you can change to remove it from showing up on the Hub, or to prevent it from automatically launching.
I'm out of ideas. Anyone got any??
Thanks in advance!
Disable it from the application manager. I disable the Samsung music and hub then rebooted my phone...problem solved!

As per point number 1 above, the Samsung Hub cannot be disabled or affected in any way via the Application Manager. Perhaps this is unique to the Verizon version of the phone? I don't know. The option to "Force Stop" is grayed out, and cannot be pressed.
Any other ideas?

Believe it or not, after hours with several Samsung techs to help me remove this problem failed, I decided to try to remove it myself, again. It worked.
Go to apps,
Touch the music icon
At the bottom left corner of your phone is the Menu button, press this and select DELETE
Now you'll see on your top screen to the right ALL APPLICATIONS, SAMSUNG OVER THE HORIZON or other songs you've down loaded. Place a check mark on the SAMSUNG OVER THE HORIZON and then press the delete button on the upper right corner of your phone. It should solve this problem. Trust me, it was driving me nuts.
