It depends on the version of Android it's running. (Rooting takes advantage of a bug in the system. As soon as someone finds one, Google patches it in the next update. So what rooted 4.4.2 easily won't root 4.4.4 at all.)

I've tried kingroot it doesnt work for my LG tribute. I really need to root my device so I can remove the throttle folders. Please some one help.

There is root for the tribute now. Can be found on the xda developer forums
