How can I stop Email deletion sound?

If I delete an email via the notification bar, I immediately get my new email sound again and so I have to check to ensure that there is no new actual email. Any idea how to stop the email deletion sound?

My email app providers (Nine) say that it's not by their design. The issue didn't exist on my previous phone, OnePlus 5T.

What email app are you using on your current device? What email app did you use on your previous device?

Go to Settings>Apps, select the email app, then Notifications. What categories do you see? Maybe try changing the Miscellaneous notifications to Silent.

Try tapping each of those Email listings to see more details.

It's weird that it doesn't give you more details about what each entry is for. Try changing the Notification Sound for each of those (including the Alert entries) to None or Silent and see if you can figure out if one of them is for the sending tone. Change them one by one and test after each change to better pinpoint it.

Found it after an epic series of tests - the culprit was:

Settings>Apps>Apps>Nine>Notifications>Alert - No sound

Great, glad to hear it! It's weird that Nine Mail lists so many notification categories with such generic names -- I wonder if that's a coding issue, since I've never seen that with Gmail or other email apps.

Indeed - the Nine people either aren't aware or don't consider it high priority. I must get back to them.

Thanks very much for your kind attention to my minor gripe.
