How can I stop my phone from going straight to voicemail on my S5 (Verizon wireless)?

Welcome to Android Central! Lollipop or KitKat? If Lollipop, then make sure No Interruptions isn't turned on--look at the status bar and see if there is a circle with a line through it. If KitKat, make sure Blocking Mode isn't on. Blocking Mode on the Galaxy S5 | Android Central
