How can I stop my Samsung Tab 4 playing an ad on the home screen constantly?

I have a Tab4 and over the past few weeks, instead of going to "sleep" it plays a promotional video for the Tab4, like a commercial. It drains the battery in a short time. How can I remove this? I have tried restarting the unit, hoping not to do a reset.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you just get the tablet, or have you had it for a while, and this just started? Go through the System Settings, and see if there is any option for Demo Mode--if so, turn it off. More often than not, though, this is because someone sold you a demo/floor model with a special demo ROM installed. You'd have to flash the stock firmware--try bringing it to your local Samsung Store in Best Buy and see if the rep can do that for you.
