I have a Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 with Android 6.0.1
Every time I receive a notification, the preffered notification sound plays, but after it I also get that volume beep (the one that plays when you turn off silent mode.
It happenes with all the apps that show notifications (most notable the SMS app, skype, facebook messenger).
Is there any way to get rid of that beep? I searched a lot through the settings and I couldn't find anything.

To give you guys a clue on what I'm talking about, here is a link to the sound I have chosen for messages: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ngtf6i4au0avb9w/press_cast.wma

And here is a recorded video of my phone receiving a message. You can hear the beep after the main sound: http://www.mediafire.com/file/m3kcd57gaf5qwb4/WIN_20170222_16_05_26_Pro.mp4

I didn't make that ringtone. It's a sound file from a game that I play.
This issues occurs regardless of the nature of the ringtone. It even happens if I select one of the ones available on the phone.

Sorry about the delay. Have you tried a cache clear in settings?

I just did that, and it didn't solve the problem. It was pretty obvious since this thing has been happening ever since I got the phone.

At first I thought it was from the theme I installed, but I removed it and it was still happening.

Edit: I just found out another thing. I mentioned in the post below that the beep is the same one used when the the silent mode is switched off. That's because during the notification sound, the phone goes into silent mode. When the notification tone ends, the phone comes out of the silent mode, and that's why that beep can be heard. I even recorded a video with it:

Any explanations?

I don't know it's origins, but it's definitely a bug.
A few minutes after I made my last post, I played with the Do Not Disturb settings and it somehow stopped.
I don't know how or why, because the DND mode has been off forever and it still is.
At some point started occurring again. Don't know how or why that happened either.
And now just a few minutes ago I stopped it again by playing with the silent switch, from the top control panel.

So at least I found a way to make it stop if it happens again, but I would very much like to put an end to it.
So my question is: If I find the cause and the circumstances in which this bug occurs where do I report?
Am I in the right place or do I have to go somewhere else?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I don't know where the actual system updates come from (Samsung or Google).

O would start by contacting Samsung. It's their ROM. Now, they may try to argue that it's Google's, and to a degree, they are right. Android is Google's OS. But, once Samsung makes a change, any problems should be theirs.

I had a similar situation with an LG G4. I got a bug report that automatically generated. I contacted them to find out where to send it. They insisted that I talk to Google. I tried to tell them they just need to tell me who to email the report to. They repeated to talk to Google. I gave up and said, OK. Once on the phone with Google, they confirmed that they can only help with Nexus devices.

This may not be the case with you. I just wanted to share something I went through in a similar instance.
