How can I switch cameras on a Google Pixel 2 during a video?

It seems the only time I can switch cameras is to stop the video, switch, then restart the video. This isn't an option during a livestream. The only time the switch option appears is while the video is stopped. I've tried swiping the screen to see if it comes up and nothing.

That's what I figured. It seems every time I get a new phone it's always a downgrade. Thanks for the confirmation!
