How can I transfer everything from my S4 to S6?

I have just tried this on a Galaxy S5 to S6. Unfortunately Smartswitch doesn't transfer any android apps. It only appears to transfer Samsung items and contacts, etc. Samsung are being somewhat misleading here and really should be addressed on the matter.

Smart Switch does back up the apps. It doesn't backup app saved data as far as I know but the actual apps their self are backed up. Make sure when you are making the back up, the application box is checked.

You can navigate to the folder that the backup was saved to. Within you can find a folder with all the app apk's that was backed up to verify they were indeed backed up.

One nice thing about smart switch is it transfers apps that may no longer be in the play store but still work on your device. I just used it for updating tablets and intend to use it for moving from my Z3C to the S6.

Ummm yes, S4 has it....I have used my S4 to NFC over to my kids S4's as a shortcut to setting them up. Works in a minute or less like a charm, then set aside with wifi connected for them to download all the apps.

I used Smart switch to transfer from S4 to Note 5.

Bloody woeful. Ticked all the boxes but it didn't transfer texts etc - in fact only seems to have transferred contacts and SOME apps.

I need to transfer app data for some of the apps as well and all my contacts. text messages and so on.

The s4 has both internal and SD card memory. Could it be that it's somehow transferred contacts saved in one place and not the other?
How to get around that?

Works pretty well thanks, unfortunately I dont believe I can transfer app data and saved wifi password info with it

I recently switched from the S4 to the S6 using Samsung Smart Switch and it copied over all my WiFi info.
