How can I transfer from my Note 3 to new Note 5, no connection from Smart Switch on Note 5?

trying to transfer from note 3 to new note 5. no connection from Smart Switch on note 5

Note 3 connects for a few seconds and then disconnects. Note keeps saying connecting. Trief manual connection with generatef code....same result
