This problem seems to be a new thing, at least I don't remember it being an issue when I first got my Pixel 2: When I squeeze to summon Google Assistant and ask her to dial someone's number, then raise the phone to my ear, she almost blows out my ears when she confirms, "Calling so-and-so, mobile."
Yes, of course, I could simply wait until she's done and then raise the phone to my ear, but when I place calls using Assistant, it means I'm usually walking somewhere, need to pay attention to other things and/or am stressed or task-loaded.
I couldn't find any option to turn down the Google Assistant's voice in settings.
Who can help?
