how can I unlock Motorola xoom Verizon to work in Nigeria

I got Xoom Verizon from US and discovered that it won't work with Nigerian Mobile Network
When I inserted Sim, it prompted me to activate mobile and stays at Activating Forever.

If it's the first time you used the device then you need a Verizon SIM AND be in Verizon US network the first time you use it and place one phone call to activate the phone. To the best of my knowledge Verizon ships their devices unlocked now, but you do need to activate it on their network first.

There are also sites that sell you unlock codes or you could try searching for methods of brute-force unlocking but yeah... we can't discuss those here
