How can I unregister device as a work account?

I finally figured out that my spouse used Demo Mode to register my phone as a work account so he could spy on my web activity. I did a factory reset but I'm concerned that using this phone on Google Play will start it up all over again. Any suggestions on what to do?

Open a new Google account. Add t to the phone. Delete the old Google account. See a marriage counselor.
