How can i update unlocked note 5

Purchased a used att note 5 unlocked on eBay phone is in new condition works great but it won't update to 7.0 my carrier is TMobile what can I do to get it to update.?

Settings > About phone > there should be an update selection there. Unlocked is no problem, rooted will prevent the update.

I'll add to what Rukbat said, you can also check in smart switch if a update available ,and can try taking your sim out see what happens. If both these dont work you will need to flash through Odin.

I moved this from the General News forum to the Note5 forum for more specific traffic.

I'm pretty sure AT&T-branded phones need to be on the AT&T network in order to receive the official update. I recall seeing prior posts that said you can't even get the update using Smart Switch, as long as you're on some non-AT&T network.
