How can I use letters in dial key pad in Samsung Galaxy s4 mini?

When I call to the bank to activate my card , I need to key in the answers of the security questions which are the letters, not numbers. I can't change the mode from numbers to letters. Some mobiles I used in the past got function like this, on the dial pad got a group of letters after the numbers like 2 ABC 3 DEF 4 GHI ...... if I need letters "A" I can press number 2 twice , if I need letters "H" I can press number 4 three times But in Samsung galaxy s 4 mini can't do that. If I press number 2 twice it will be 22 and if I press number 4 tree times it will be 444. What to do then ?
