Does anyone know of an app for Android that will allow creation of 'short dial numbers' to be dialled from the native phone dialler so that it is picked up by the app and the full public number called on the native dialler.
We have a use case in our company where our staff have been part of a mobile phone company closed user group (O2 MobEx if you are familiar) with thousands of company mobile phones accounts. The network operator provided a short dial feature for all mobiles in the account, like a PBX extension number function.
i.e. 55111 > Is picked up by the network operator and passed to the public network on the full public number format +441707123456
This service is being withdrawn but we'd still like to give the short dial feature to our staff as they have become accustomed to dialling 55111 for many years. We need an app that can recognise defined short dials (i.e. 55111) dialled on the native dialler and translate it to the full number +441707123456 and make the call.
