how can you stop a galaxy watch from picking up phone calls?

[Android Central Question]

i need to answer my phone when incoming calls happen due to where i work.
when i get a call, i have to disconnect the watch to answer the call, by which point the caller tends to have hung up.
being notified i have a call is fine, i just don't want to talk through my watch.

First thought: They should both be "ringing". So, answer the call with your phone, not with the watch and you should be fine.
