How can you tell if your Nexus one is rooted

I just recently brought me a nexus one off of ebay and was suppose to be rooted, but my questions is how can you tell if the phone is rooted?

Do you have an icon in your programs list that says "Superuser Permissions"?

If I recall correctly if the bootloader is unlocked there will be an padlock icon on bootup of the device, gotta unlock the bootloader to root the device

That's just unlocking the bootloader. As Cory said look for superuser icon in the application menu , or just go to the market, search torch and install the nexus tourch. It requires root so if you have it it will open.
