How come when i try to update it says " no firmware "?

I go to my settings and hit update but it says no firmware ..why

Because your phone isn't ready to update yet? If you haven't already received it, the update with wifi calling comes as an OTA update.

I got tired of seeing that message and waiting for the update so I downloaded Kies and did the update last night. So far so good. Need to switch to a new sim card for wifi calling to work so hope to do that next week.

Yeah I had problems with wifi calling turned on. I could receive but not send sms? Also call quality was poor but that may have been my home network which had phantom issues at the time. However, wifi calling works fine on our blackberry curve 9360 so I'm fairly sure thus phone's implementation of it just sucks. I just turned if off.

I read that Sammy and TMo are pushing ICS to the GSII on May 14. I held off installing a ported or custom rom running ICS because the reviews on blogs were mixed.

Well my tmobile galaxy s was doing this but when I connected to my wifi it updated automatically and before I had the market now I'm seeing google play!!! Yey
