On my 4g lte I pick up a 4g signal in a no lte area. I checked the data coverage map on sprint and in the bel air md region the only 4g is WiMAX. Is this even possible or am I somehow getting some other providers 4g service?

They are testing in many areas. Most likely a tower that will be turned on to LTE in the future. Enjoy it while it lasts!

They are turning on 4g as they complete the upgrades, that happens before they make the official word on release in that area
