How do Bolt owners feel about imminent release of Samsung Droid Charge?

After all the battery controversy with the Thunderbolt, it's kind of ironic for Verizon to name their next LTE device (The Charge).

I'm happy with my Bolt.. love everything about it.

Got my Thunderbolt yesterday. SUPER fast, especially web browsing. One question: how do I remove the build in apps like Blockbuster? I go under settings and "stop" it by the Uninstall remains greyed-out. Is there an app to help me?
Also, can I make a folder, ie 'games' to collect in one place my app icons?

Most bloatware cannot be removed on purpose thx to VZW. Only real way to remove is to root/flash roms.

The samsung does have superior graphics capabilities.
Even the Galaxy S lines do better in the graphics than the TB

You need to be rooted and use an app like Root Explorer or Titanium Backup... both found in the market.

For making folders... Long press on any homescreen>New folder>Long press on the apps from the app drawer and drag and drop them to the new folder.

Droid Charge uses the RFS filesystem if I recall, which is largely responsible for the lag many Galaxy S users have experienced.

This new version of sense is awesome. It does everything I had other launchers do for me on previous phones. Im sticking with stock sense for now.

Liked adwex on my fascinate, but for some reason i always ran into force closes on beautiful widgets when using it. With TW i never had issues.


I do like Sense, just hate the personalize button. I've got more than enough ways to bring up that menu and don't need a button.

This. Why did they do that? Do some people really feel that compelled to change everything about their phone all the time that they needed a button for it?

The fact that this is my biggest complaint about sense really says something about how nice it is.

Um... Samsung has nice hardware. But after my fascinate fiasco Samsung will never get my money again.

I'm feeling the same way. I purchased the Fascinate with the indication that the sales men told me that froyo was comming in a month, and like 6 months went by. SORRY Samsung, but you guys will never get my Moo-La!

What he said, and when they do finally come up with one they usually don't work right and are buggy. Samsung is lousy after the sale.

There are actually some things I really like about Samsung's UI -- the fact that the wifi,gps, brightness, etc controls are in the notification bar freeing up screen real estate and their task manager that lets you only close apps that you yourself open and none of the system processes and stuff are great. But the lack of upgrades has killed it for me .... I am done listening to the appologeticss ... Samsung is dead to me now....HTC, Motorola, and LG now.
