I've looked at all the answers online and it says to just tap the volume button. I have done that but I do not see anything that says priority mode anywhere. I have my phone in easy mode also. Is that a factor? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I did exit easy mode and it is still not working. I press the volume button and the volume goes up or down. I do not see PRIORITY MODE anywhere still.

I did join Android Central.

Thanks for any help I could get on this issue!

You don't tap the volume, you hold it. Did you read over the link that I gave? There is a priority settings for individual apps, not sure if that's what you're looking for. It also could have been disabled by your carrier. There is no mention of it in my Verizon users manual anyway.

If I long press on my volume, all it does is go up all the way. Is that article accurate?

Has anyone figured this out? As well for me, tapping and/or long pressing volume does not bring up priority mode. I need to set silent schedules for different days, and do not disturb is only on or off on chosen days.

Maybe it only works in some regions /networks. My unlocked S8 SMG950F doesn't do it with the volume either.

What model phone do you have, and what carrier? The S8 itself does not have anything called "priority mode"; for example, the AT&T S8 user manual does not mention that term at all.

What does your own phone's user manual say about it?
