How do I backup/sync my contacts?

I just put in manually all my contacts from my old phone to my new S3... now next time I switch phones I do not wanna do that cause it took me a load of time to do. How do I backup my conacts/sync them? Thanks in advance!

If you copy them to GMail contacts (or if this is what you did and did not realize it) they are stored on the web and can be accessed or edited from anywhere. If you logon with another phone there are automatically there.
