How Do I Block an email address

I have this [redacted by Mod] sending me stuff all the time and I want to block him from my LG v40 and everywhere actually. My contacts are in Gmail. How do I get rid of him.

Typically you block email via your email provider.
This prevents it from going to your email client on your phone.

For Gmail, block his email address this way: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/8151?co=GENIE.Platform=Desktop&hl=en

If he's also texting you or calling you, you can block his number easily using the Phone app, or add him as a contact and then use the Block option in his contact options.
