how do I change font style with Messages?

hi everyone- noob question!

I use the Messages app that came with the TB. Is it possible to change the font or make italics or bold?

I've tried the menu options and can't seem to find the option.

I use Handcent. It has many (many, many, many) user settings. I know Font Size is available. It's free from the Market

+1 for Handcent.

Other alternatives are GoSMS and ChompSMS. Both are good. All are similar, I just prefer Handcent. =)
