How do I change hotspot name?

I went into the "about phone" section and renamed my phone but when I set it up for hotspot it only shows the model number, not the new name. Suggestions appreciated.

Try:

1. From the Home screen, tap Menu > Settings > Connections tab > Tethering and Mobile HotSpot.
2. Tap Mobile HotSpot to display the Settings icon.
3. Tap the Mobile HotSpot Settings icon in the top right.
4. Edit the Network SSID field to change the name for the mobile hotspot.

Found it - once hotspot is turned on you go to the screen where the password is located and you can change it there.
