How do I change lock screen notification icon colors (Samsung A10e, Android Pie)

I just upgraded my phone to an A10e running stock 9/Pie. The lock screen image I use has white background in the top 1/3 and the notification icons are all white making them almost invisible. I changed the clock/date text to black but how do I change the icon color to anything other than stock white?

I was told by AT&T store I need to change my background. Not cool, but I guess an option.

I moved this from the Oreo forum (you mentioned the phone is on Pie) to the General Help forum. We don't have a dedicated A10e forum, and the OS version forums are intended more to discuss general features of a given version across phones, not device-specific ones like this.
