How do I change my IP setting to static?

Whenever I try to change my wifi to 'static', it won't let me save it, the button is greyed out. I'm not sure if I should change the DNS (which I don't know what to change it to) or something else I should configure. I'm using the Fire 10 HD tablet.

If you want a static ip address, you should either, never turn the router off, in which case it will remain the same OR pay you internet provider a fee to have a static ip address
