How do I change the background color when receiving a call?

I have my phone set on silent, and it doesn't vibrate. It used to default to a bright green screen when someone was calling (easy to see and got my attention). Since updating, the phone now defaults to a black screen when someone is calling, and I rarely notice it. How do I change it to a bright color?
