How do I change the contact list in the text messages area?

After the latest update my contacts are no longer correct. The contact app is correct with all my settings. When I go to my text messages and select contacts there it lists every single contact in the 5 google accounts I manage. I have tried everything I can think of and it only changes the main contact app not the contact button in with the text messages. How do I change this to match my phone contact list?
