how do i change the 'cover' photo in my htc one gallery??

hi. i realize this is a minor annoyance. but it is annoying. whenever i open my gallery, i get the following screen...



for some reason, the first photo that shows up is of my dog in the hospital. it makes me sad. and i don't want to be sad every time i open my stupid gallery. this isn't the last picture i've taken (the last one is below it). and it isn't starred as a 'highlight' pic. is there some way to change it without deleting? i don't see any other way to change the cover photo...

mines totally different. Im on 4.2.2 VZW-.

i have- Albums events locations friend

maybe the change will come with 4.3....
