How do I check for screen burn in?

I think I notice some kind of line on the top quarter and near of middle of the screen when viewing things with a white background. The lines may be very very dim and not too noticeable.

Is there an app that will help me to determine whether there is screen burn in in my s5?

I just got this phone as a replacement phone on January 28 under a warranty program with Verizon. I'm unsure if the phone is new or refurbished.

I have the same problem. I have noticed it helps slightly if you set the screen mode to cinema. (Settings>Display>Screen Mode>Cinema). It drove me crazy for a while, but eventually I learned to live with it.

Get a screen test app (https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ails?id=ua.dp.ustav.screentest&token=XizpLJwe should let you put solid colors on the screen) and set it for all white (there shouldn't be any other color showing) then for all black (there shouldn't be anything but black or a uniform very dark gray). If either one shows any sort of picture "ghost", the screen has burn-in.

Thanks, I tried the app and didn't see any screen burn in or ghosting.

I wonder if it's my wallet case staining the screen when I close the case?

So you see the same thing I'm seeing? I tried the app for burn in check and I didn't see screen burn in with some of the solid colors.

After the lollipop upgrade I noticed sometimes my phone will be awake already when I wake up. I'm afraid it's led to some pretty bad burn in.

Anyone else getting this? I notice it in the camera and other full screen apps and also in landscape mode (picutred)

possibly an app not playing well with lollipop & waking your phone & keeping it awake... That blows :(
what model of your phone and international g900f or Verizon?

Sucks cause I uninstalled dash Clock cause it wasn't playing well with lollipop. It could have prevented this. I actually have the Sprint version 900P

Same model I have. if I were you Id take it by the Sprint store and see what they have to say about it. being that its not your fault. it's a very long shot but it's it's worth a shot.

I believe to fix burn in. Just turn make your screen white. And leave it like that for a few min

looks like it could take up to 3 hours max before some of the ghosting goes away.
I tried a white screen overnight for around 7 hours. And it's still there. I also tried an app called amoled fix and it displays a white status bar. And also nothing. H
