How do I check what network my phone is locked to?

I gave a BlackBerry PRIV to my mom just to see if she likes having a cell. She's never had one before. I forgot it was locked to a carrier and I don't have a clue which one. Is there a way I can check that? Maybe somewhere in the settings or an app?

Try entering the IMEI into an IMEI checker site like this one: https://www.imei.info/. See if it comes up with any specific carrier.

If it can tell you that info, I can't see where. I've entered the IMEI but it didn't mention anything. I tried again with my own phone and it didn't show anything either. I don't see a header labelled carrier anywhere. I appreciate the response though. Do you know where to look in case I'm missing it?

I'm not sure, then. But I think the Priv was an AT&T exclusive, so assuming it wasn't unlocked from AT&T and then locked to some other carrier, I'd start with AT&T. www.att.com/support/article/wireless/KM1262649/

You might try going to:

Apps/Settings/More/Cellular networks/Access Point Names

If the info is still there, you should be able to tell what network the Priv was last on.

Ah, but I'm in Canada. I was able to buy one unlocked directly from BlackBerry. This one I got from someone else and don't have their contact anymore since it was years ago. I'll try looking in the phone's settings as suggested by BerryBubbles. Hopefully there's still info in there. Thank you all. I love that I can always rely on the people on this site for help.
