Use a piece of microfiber cloth. (If you have nothing else, try an eyeglass place - the same cloth used for cleaning eyeglass lenses works on laptop screens ans phone and tablet screens.) If you wait until the screen is a bit cool, then exhale on it, you'll "mist" the screen, making it easier to clean. (People who wear glasses use that trick all the time.)
If there's something really stuck on there, or the screen is really greasy from your fingers, use the same solution used to clean eyeglass lenses. Spray a LITTLE on the cloth, then use it to wet the stuck-on thing, or to wipe around the grease. DON'T get the screen really wet - the liquid can run down to the edge and under the screen into the device. You want a damp cloth, so squeezing it on the screen doesn't make any liquid come out of it.
