How do i connect my wired xbox 360 controller to the Galaxy S7?

Hi

I have had my S7 for a week now and have been trying to connect my 360 controller with the OTG adapter that came with it.

Although the controller lights up, I can't switch between pages or use it in games.

I even tried with another cable and on a S6.

Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

I had my Xbox 360 wired controller working just fine on my Galaxy s7, but it eventually stopped working. I suspect a software Issue, but would like to find an actual solution before I reset my phone.
