switched to a Turbo from an htc one (m7) and it had all the google services and verizon software in folders on the app drawer by default, was wondering how to create them in the app drawer on the turbo to mimic that.

Hi Manizabulus,

I'm not sure, but I think this depends on Android Version. I know for sure that with Android 5 (Lollipop) you can drag an app over another app to create a folder with the two apps. With an older version of Android maybe there is another way, like long-tap on the home screen and search for a 'create folder' submenu...

Which version of Android do you have?

I don't think you can do this with standard android in the app drawer. On the pages, you just drag one application icon over another and it creates a folder with those two items, then you can add more by just dragging another app on top of the new folder. I don't think you can do this in the app drawer though. You can always try an alternate launcher like Apex (me favorite) or Nova (seemingly everyone elses favorite).

You can't with the Turbo's version of launcher. Folders inside the app drawer is quite excessive and OCD..too many clicks and hunting and pecking. Much quicker to create folders on one of your home screens and the dock.

Now...if you MUST because you MUST...:-) ..I am sure you can find a launcher that will allow this. I use Nova on my other Android...Nova allows app groups and folders, which I never use.

For my phone which runs Android Lollipop 5.0.1, I did these steps which made a folder in the App Drawer.
1. Go into the App Drawer
2. Click the 3 dots in one of the corners or the options button at the bottom. It will open up a options tab.
3. Click something similar to View apps by
4. Click Custom
5. Click the 3 dots again and click Edit/Uninstall Apps.
6. Hold onto the app that you want to make a folder and put it over another app. It should make a folder automatically.
7. Let go and there is your folder.
8. If you want it back to the organized way, just click the 3 dots and click View app by and click name, or what ever you want it too. (The folders appear first then the apps)
9. Done!

^ I was about to say the same exact thing until I scrolled and saw you said that lol. With the turbo the only way would be to install another launcher on the app store, theres tons out there. I just recommend you check when the app was updated last (before purchasing). There's plenty of apps out there that were once great so they have tons of downloads and a good review, but if you look at the last up date it was a long time ago. Ive bought apps before and then wondered why I never got an update and I checked the last data and it was like 2 years!
