how do i delete amazon from my moto g5 plus phone

I want to delete amazon from my moto g5 plus android phone. Purchased at a discount thru amazon in June 2018 with full knowledge that i would get random ads. I do not get amazon ads on the lockscreen however - but an amazon "reminder' is there that an ad IS on my home screen. I just want to get rid of Amazon ads, the amazon widget, the amazon ads widget, the constant daily reminders to login to my amazon account, which i will NEVER do on my phone anyway. Is there a way to do this ?

You should be able to disable the Amazon apps. Just go to Settings > Apps and find the Amazon apps, and tap Disable on each of them.
