How do I delete Geo News and other native Samsung and Android apps?

I am trying to extend battery life and kill some native apps. One that shows as a big battery drain is Geo News but I can't find the app to uninstall it. When I go to the Play Store it only gives me the option to install it. This is on my Galaxy S5 which I've had since November and the last couple of weeks I've been going through the battery huge. Trying to follow all the advice here to delete and disable, but so far not terribly successful. Any help is appreciated, thx

Some apps can be disable from app info.
But, to delete most preloaded app you need to have root access of your device..

As above, disable is just as good. Just know what you are disabling.
