How Do I Delete Old Devices From My Google Account?

Just curious - in what way is this negatively impacting you that Google MUST spend time on it?

As long as you go into google.com/accounts then select Device Activity & Security Events, select to review devices and remove account access for the device there should be absolutely no way that device can then access your account unless you re-configure it with your account during setup again.

Um, do you work for Google? I already wiped my phone. I see NO WAY to remove it from my device list. Google didn't pay for my device, I want all references to it deleted from my account.

No -- he doesn't.

Also you're right Google doesn't own the phone, you do... but you did use their software/services and agreed to their terms. Just saying...

@Almeuit is correct, I don't work for Google. But my point is that I'm sure there are projects Google is working on that impact more people than the half dozen or so this seems to bother. If, on the page I guided you to before, the device shows as recently accessing your account even though you've signed it out THEN worry about it being there. Otherwise, it's not a big deal. If it DOES show up, revoke account access as I suggested and any further account access from that device will require your login.

For what it's worth - my old Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) still shows on my list of devices to pick from when installing an app from the Play Store on the web, but it does NOT appear in my recently-used devices list that I guided you to above so I'm not overly concerned.

Hi, everyone, I have found out how to delete your old device from google account

first, access to your google account setting page ("sign in & security"),
then choose "security check-up" (get started) *blue words,
then choose "your devices",
then pick the device that you want to remove, and choose "remove" from the menu.

Have a good day

Welcome to the forums. We appreciate all input, though this advice was given in post 20 earlier in the thread.

Hi, it seems every one told people to click "activity & security events", which was the old way.

In order to remove a device from Google account, we have to click "sign-in & security" (the very top on left menu *yes, the title of the menu).

Then, you can do the following(in the middle of the window menu):

Click "Security Check-Up(blue words - Get Started),

Then, Click "Your devices"

Then, select the device menu and chooose "remove".

*DO NOT CLICK "activity & event events". It does not have option to remove any device.

Thank you but it is not in "activity & security events" anymore. Follow my instruction as shown above.

This capability appears to have been moved. Go to your My Account page. Go to Sign in and security. Click device activity & notifications on the left, then click review devices under the list of devices. From here, you can click on a device and select to remove account access from the device.

As for what jayhawksean saw, that is a feature called Factory Reset Protection. The way to remove that is to sign in to your account on the device, then sign out of the account once it's set up. You can then do a reset and the new owner should be able to set it up for themselves.
