How do I deleted unsupported files in gallery on my galaxy s5

I went previously to settings, application mgr, Galaxy apps, cleared cach/data, forced stop. I went back to galaxy and tried to delete pictures and it still won't let me delete and "unsupported file" continues to come up. What can I do to l
get these pics of my phone?

Welcome to Android Central! Are the actual photo files saved to Internal Storage or a microSD card? Use a file manager app like My Files to find those files and delete them--don't use the Gallery app.

No, these unsupported files (pictures) only show up in my gallery. I can't delete them. Please advise.

Try going to the App Manager, select Gallery, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Then open Gallery again, wait a few seconds for the database to repopulate, and see if they're still present.

I'm having same issues with gallery using S5. I don't have clear cach once I go into settings.

Welcome to Android Central! When you select Gallery in the App Manager, do you see a Storage category? If so, tap that, and you'll see the Clear Cache/Clear Data options there.
