How do I disable Group Texts

I work in a department with over 100 other people & my supervisor likes to group messages us, resulting in the next hour of pointless replies. For my work I don't do anything collaborative so I couldn't care less what everyone else has to say. I have never been part of a group text I wanted to be in.

Is there any way to block all the replies from everyone but the original sender or even block ALL group texts?

Please help. I'm ready to throw my phone away.

There is a way to mute your notifications for a particular group text without muting all message notifications:

Click the group text message
in the upper right hand corner you should see the 3 lines/dots for text message settings
once you have clicked that you may see an option for notifications that is highlighted
if you don't see that you may have to click on the People & Options, uncheck Notifications. And/or select "silent"

This still makes your notification number on your text icon go up but it will at least stop you from the constant dinging or vibrating.
