Is there a way to disable calls and texts but stay connected to the internet. I stream concerts from my phone using Ustream...when someone calls or texts it srews it all up.

WIFI

If you are on WiFi, turn off 3G (mobile connection) and just use Wifi for connection. Calls and Texts will not go through.

You can watch all the Yanni Concerts you want ;)

One solution is to use a Google voice account with your phone. You could effectively send all calls to VM without the phone ringing...not sure about the texts though.

If you use WiFi, turn on Airplane Mode, then turn on WiFi. You won't get any calls or texts. Turning off 3G only turns off data, you can still get calls and texts.

So...general question...why is it that people can't just put the actual subject in the subject? In just a few words you can communicate the actual issue you're trying to get resolved instead of users being forced to actually go into or hover over all of the threads to see what they are about. People love the '...', as in 'Can I ...'.

Show some love for the other users and just put what you want in the subject.

Agreed about thread title. Edited.

OP please help us all and use more descriptive titles. And big welcome to Android Central.

I think people do it in hopes that it makes you wonder what they're going to say, and therefore the thread will get more views and possible faster answers.

Good info in this thread about using airplane mode. :)

This is by far the best answer to me! I had no clue i could turn wifi on while on airplane mode. Nice!
