how do I do voice dial when there is no data connection?

how do I do voice dial when there is no data connection? (using my Verizon Galaxy Note 3 with a T-Mobile prepaid SIM card with voice minutes only, no data at all)

The Note 3 is paired with a bluetooth car speakerphone. S-Voice wouldn't work and just kept saying no data connection...

Do you not have a cell signal? If that's the case, you can't call.

BTW, S-Voice is not the best. Try Google Now.

Yes, there is cell signal... but since I'm using a T-Mobile prepaid SIM card with VOICE only, it doesn't have data.

Hmm, odd. Pretty sure you shouldn't need a data connection for Svoice to work.

Have you rebooted? I'm still amazed how often this actually fixes things.

Past that, it's time to start testing. Does voice dialing not work at all? (With no BT device connected.) Does it work with a different BT device connected? Just trying to maybe narrow down/isolate your issue.

Also give Google Now a try, or another voice service. Again, to test.

If I switch the default voice dialing to Google Now, it works fine. (Google Now can recognize my command even when there is no data connection) If I switch back to S-Voice, then I can't dial because S-Voice keeps telling me that it needs a data connection)
