Is there a way for me to have my phone when I leave the house turn off wifi and turn on Bluetooth? Thanks folks

you can try doing that using Trigger I use it for a lot of wifi/location/time based activities. It is similar to Tasker but a bit more user friendly. Also you can use Bixby quick commands.

As another poster suggested, try Bixby quick commands. You can edit the command to do what you want it to. 😎

If you want true automation, Tasker is King. I use to use it alot. But it's so much easier just to swipe down and hit the 2 toggles when I leave home.

To use Bixby don't you have to leave gps/location on? I know on other phones gps eats battery like crazy. I think the cost outweighs the benefit for me on this. Haven't used gps a lot with the Note 8 so not sure how it drains the battery.

I don't have location or gps on.

No real drainage that I've noticed. I always leave gps/location on

I have my GPS always on and my resolution at the highest setting. I easily get more 5 hours SOT with 20 percent left in the tank.

Thanks to everyone who replied about the use of location and battery drain, I appreciate it. And I was gonna suggest NFC tags, but thought I was the only old guy still fooling with them.
